Todd J. Pesek, M.D. is a holistic physician, medical advisor, published scholar, professor, and author who specializes in disease prevention and reversal toward longevity and vital living.
Dr. Todd is founder of VitalHealth Partners, a private group medical practice which focuses on preventive, integrative, holistic healthcare. Dr. Pesek is also Chief Medical Officer of Heinen’s Grocery Store, based in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and a tenured Health Sciences Professor at Cleveland State University, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he teaches, researches and serves in multiple capacities, including as founding Director for the Center for Healing Across Cultures. In addition, he is founder of a leading Superfoods and Supplements company, Nutritional Roots.
Dr. Todd was raised in the mountains of Appalachia in rural Pennsylvania and embraced his calling of holistic health and wellness from an early age. His passion and purpose began in the woods surrounding his home, gathering comfort and learning truth from his elders and the Earth. These childhood adventures blossomed into extensive study and collaboration with traditional healers and holistic health practitioners in places as far away as India, Peru and Belize. His goal is to shed light on holistic health and wellness through timeless healing traditions that have long helped maintain personal health and wellness, and can help us stay healthy and filled with vitality today.
His work illustrates how we all can achieve wellness through hydration, Superfoods nutrition, alkalinization, and detoxification, and that an immersion into nature, healing plants and the traditional practices of the world allow for true health.
Dr. Todd received his medical doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his training in Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, St. Vincent Charity Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.

I have spent my career working in holistic health and wellness and am passionate about holistic health and wellness, both personally and professionally. With decades of experience at upper management in preventive, integrative, holistic medical practices and affiliated medical laboratory establishments, I bring a strong operations based perspective to the team. In addition, I have extensive experience in medical laboratory diagnostics which adds value and depth of practice possibilities for our patients at VitalHealth Partners.

As a registered nurse and yoga teacher, I am a wellness advocate who believes in the importance of the mind-body connection. Born and raised as a Cleveland local, I got my RN at Cuyahoga Community College and my BSN at Cleveland State University. My heart has always been with alternative medicine and, after several years as a floor nurse, I left the hospital system to practice holistic nursing.

After obtaining my nursing degree from Ursuline College, I spent several years working in a hospital setting. I then made the decision to work in holistic health and wellness. Now, with more than 15 years of holistic nursing experience, I know that I made the right decision.
I am passionate about our comprehensive holistic approaches; I enjoy meeting new patients in a positive and healthy environment and administering therapies for their well-being.
Since earning a BSN in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, I have amassed over 13 years of experience in the nursing field in areas including phlebotomy, long-term care, post-acute care, trauma-step down intensive care, and emergency care.
I bring strong clinical skills as well as a personal interest and passion for more holistic approaches to medicine and healthcare.
I have over a decade in healthcare, including seven years as an RN. My experience includes geriatrics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplants and trauma surgery. I have always involved holistic care in my personal life, and in 2018 I set a goal to take my health more seriously. Since then, I have lost 70 pounds and gained muscle, energy and motivation. I enjoy distance running, weight training and high intensity interval training.
My personal experience has given me both the tools and empathy to be a strong caretaker. I encourage patients to let me know how I can best support them for that is my goal.
I am a teacher, a creator, a problem solver, and a coach. I am passionate about helping people reach their fullest potential through education and encouragement. I believe in the body’s deepest desire to survive and its innate ability to repair itself. I believe that natural is better than synthetic and that working in partnership with the body and its own instinctual momentum is superior to symptom suppression.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Kent State University, I understand that nutrition is the foundation of good health. This coupled with passion for exercise, I pursued a career in health and wellness coaching. It has been my passion to help others discover and achieve improved health habits to live healthier, happier lives.

Ever since I was a small child, I have been drawn to the health and wellness field. As a Medical Assistant trained at Sanford Brown Institute, I have the opportunity to assist people attain their health goals and achieve optimal health and wellness.

Influenced at a young age by my dad on homeopathic modalities, I have spent most of my life exploring ways to optimize health. In addition to coaching our VitalHeath patients, I am an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher.
