Our practice specializes in Nutritional Therapies based on Superfoods and whole foods, Vitamin D and Bio-Identical Hormone Therapies, and Purification programs in support of optimal health and wellness.

Does the practice treat certain conditions?

Our patients see us for a variety of reasons. These may include unexplained or general symptoms, such as fatigue, weight gain, and lack of mental clarity, or more specific and complex medical conditions which they would like to manage holistically in support of longevity and vital living. We do not treat the condition as much as we treat the underlying biochemistry of the body by improving nutrition on the biochemical level, detoxifying the body, bringing hormones into balance and enhancing immunity.

Consequently, we see a wide range of conditions. Our goal is to promote the body’s natural healing mechanisms to promote health, prevent disease, retard the aging process and help a person be in the best condition possible given whatever is going on in the body.

What role does nutrition play?

The role of proper diet is crucial in treating disease and in maintaining physical and mental health. We recommend a dietary lifestyle of pure, fresh, natural foods cutting out processed, prepared, packaged foods. We use with all patients a program of nutrient supplements that have been proven successful in the treatment of the whole patient in all areas of health.

Who are our patients?

We treat healthy people who want to stay healthy as well as people with health problems seeking preventive, integrative, holistic therapies. Our patients tend to be well informed in nutrition and its place in preventive healthcare. They recognize, as we do, that the body and mind are intricately connected and that both must be healthy for each to operate efficiently. We welcome the new patient who is seeking evaluation, guidance and instruction on optimum health through balanced diet, exercise and lifestyle changes. Can children be patients as well as adults?

Yes, our Doctors work with children as well as adults. In fact, we have decades of experience in treating children with recurrent infections, ear infections, hyperactivity, attention deficit, learning disabilities, Tourette's and autism.

What is chelation therapy?

Chelation therapy is an intravenous therapy using EDTA, an amino acid derivative that binds to and helps remove toxic heavy metals. In addition, there are decades of clinical and recent, clear scientific evidence in the form of the NIH funded TACT trial which suggest that it facilitates healthy cardiovascular function including supporting the arteries for increased blood flow. It therefore could-well be beneficial for people trying to prevent having invasive procedures such as angioplasty or bypass surgery. For people with a history of such procedures, chelation offers a complement as well.

What is the concern regarding heavy metal toxicity?

Many people have levels of heavy metals in the body such as mercury, arsenic, nickel, lead and cadmium that create a toxic burden. Of particular concern is mercury which may occur from mercury amalgam fillings (“silver” dental fillings). Heavy metal toxicity creates stresses on the immune system as well as potentially causing symptoms.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a comprehensive system of preventive medicine that has been well-documented to benefit many illnesses. Can I use VitalHealth Partners in place of my regular doctor?

No. We are not primary care doctors. We are integrative medicine specialists. In addition, we recommend that you maintain a relationship with a conventional doctor in the event of hospitalization as the physicians here are strictly outpatient.

Does VitalHealth Partners generate income from the sale of nutritional supplements?

Yes, we have hand-selected dietary supplement and nutritional supplement products including Dr. Todd Pesek’s Nutritional Roots product line available for optional purchase at the practice. The practice does make money on the sale of these products and Dr. Todd Pesek does have ownership interest in Nutritional Roots. However, patients are never under any obligation to purchase them at the practice or anywhere for that matter. Such preference will in no way shape or form affect the medical care that you get at VitalHealth Partners. The purchase of these are optional.
